This scope builder turns a few non-personal choices into an outline you can review in the quote form. It does not send anything while you explore. Continue to the form, add the location and contact details, then submit with consent when you are ready.
- Choose the business context and the decision you need to make.
- Unknown access is an honest and useful planning answer.
- Continue carries the outline into an editable private form.
- Only a separately submitted, consented request reaches the team.
Build a commercial sewer brief
01 /Choose what is known
Select the closest description and leave uncertainty visible. Unknown access is a useful answer: it tells the provider not to assume a ready cleanout or manhole. The outline is a starting scope, not a diagnosis or a commitment to a method.
The builder stores your outline in this browser tab for up to two hours so it can populate the quote form. You can edit the text before sending. Personal contact information is collected separately in the form; changing a choice here does not submit a lead.
02 /Review the requested evidence
The outline asks for recorded footage where applicable, written findings, inspected extent and limitations. Confirm the actual deliverables with the provider. For commercial work, add any asset identifiers, access permissions and business restrictions. For a home purchase, add the inspection decision deadline.
A provider still needs to confirm availability, access and price. HAUSE is an independent information and request service and does not perform inspections, drain cleaning or repairs. Do not use the form for an emergency that needs immediate assistance.
03 /What does the commercial brief builder produce?
The builder produces a written enquiry outline, not a site assessment, estimate or work order. It combines the property context, main concern, known access and preferred work window with a requested evidence list. These choices help the team understand the first conversation you need. The tool does not calculate pipe capacity, select equipment or infer a buried route from the type of business.
Use the selections as a starting point and make the final scope precise in the quote form. A restaurant manager may need to name a kitchen branch and an interceptor separately. A condo manager may need to list several shared assets and access permissions. If your property crosses categories, choose the closest context and explain the difference in the editable outline. Do not let a convenient menu label replace the actual asset or decision.
04 /How should each choice be interpreted?
| Choice | What it tells the team | What it does not establish |
|---|---|---|
| Property | The operating context for the enquiry | Every route or asset beneath the site |
| Main concern | The purpose of the requested conversation | The cause of a blockage or required repair |
| Known access | Your present access information | That a provider has assessed safe entry |
| Work window | Your preferred scheduling constraint | Confirmed availability or uninterrupted operation |
Selecting “Access not confirmed” is appropriate when the entry point has not been identified safely. Selecting a manhole-related answer is not an instruction to open or enter it. The provider must assess safe access and the required scope. Add the actual source of your information, such as a drawing or previous report, when reviewing the final outline.
05 /What information should you add before sending?
Add the private property location, asset names, affected business areas and the records already held. State what decision the work must support: documenting condition, investigating recurrence, planning maintenance or evaluating a proposed repair. Include a deadline where it matters and identify the authorized contact. Distinguish the person who can allow access from the person who can approve extra work if they are different.
If an earlier recording is incomplete, name the unresolved section rather than asking for an unspecified repeat inspection. If a quote comparison is the purpose, identify the deliverables you want bidders to price consistently. Original video, written findings, actual coverage and limitations should be agreed with the provider. A formal coded reporting package may require a separate specification; the builder’s general evidence list does not establish certification or a particular format.
06 /How does the outline move into the quote form?
Click “Build my brief” to show the outline on this page. “Continue to request a quote” carries that outline to the form in the same tab, using a temporary saved copy that the form accepts for up to two hours. The copied message remains editable. Review the selected context and replace or expand it before adding contact details. The commercial form starts with a Commercial property type and planned timing; confirm that those describe your actual enquiry.
The active-backup selection changes the timing context and displays urgent-assistance guidance. It still does not dispatch a crew. For planned enquiries, do not choose an urgent option merely to attract attention; state the real deadline in the message. If browser storage prevents the handoff, the tool points you to the form and you can copy the outline yourself. A saved outline is not a submitted lead, approval or appointment.
07 /What happens after you submit a reviewed request?
Submitting the separate form with consent sends the reviewed enquiry for team handling. The form should show a confirmation when the submission is accepted; if it reports an error, retain the details and follow the displayed retry or contact options. Team review can clarify the question and, where available and with the appropriate permission, connect the enquiry to a qualified provider. The provider must confirm its practical scope and commercial terms.
Ask HAUSE is another way to understand terminology or organize a question, with its own chat disclosure and separate follow-up consent. A conversation answer is not a contractor’s assessment of your property. Keep sensitive information and owner documents out of general chat, and use the appropriate private request channel for location and contact details. Before authorizing work, confirm the asset list, requested evidence, exclusions and changed-work process directly with the responding provider.
FAQQuestions people ask
Can I edit the generated commercial brief?
Yes. The separate quote form receives it as editable message text. Add the actual location, asset identifiers, records, deadline and approval contact, and correct any menu choice that only approximately fits the property. Read the completed request before submitting with consent. The initial outline is a discussion aid, not a locked specification that the provider must follow without assessment.
Does clicking Build my brief send my information?
It renders the selected outline on this page. Continue moves it to the form; the team receives a request only when the separate consented submission succeeds. Changing the tool selections is not a service order. An active incident needs appropriate urgent assistance rather than assuming a generated outline has called a contractor.
Can the tool approve additional cleaning or repairs?
No. It organizes the reason for an enquiry and known constraints. A responding provider must assess the actual assets and explain any proposed extra task. Establish who can approve changed work and how that approval is recorded. The builder’s evidence list and property selection should not be interpreted as unlimited authority to carry out construction or open an ongoing service contract.
